In addition to our usual planned programs and activities, we also do a lot of extras. Here's what's coming up...
Every Parent's Group: Friday afternoons from 1:00-3:00. Starting February 28, 2018. Join us for a free program with free childcare. Topics include being your child's best support, linking with other parents on common parenting issues, building the relationship between you and your little ones, keeping track of behavior and planning ahead. Please register with us by calling Kids First Family Centre at 587-787-1071.
Ages & Stages Developmental Checkups: Offered by Centre staff at any time and during a once/year community-wide event. This is an opportunity to see where your 2 1/2 - 5 year old stands developmentally.
Triple P: Our accredited staff provide free parenting seminars, discussion groups and one-to-one sessions. Triple P is based on 30+ years of proof and is like a toolbox of ideas. The program offers information, support and practical answers to everyday parenting concerns. Call Kids First at 587-787-1071 for more information.
Recreation/Arts Subsidy Program: Kids First offers subsides up to $100 per year, per child to help enable children and youth to participate in local arts and recreation programs and events. We are also a community partner with the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program. For more information, assistance in applying, or for subsidy application forms call 787-587-1071.
